S60 2002 broken timing belt
Hi i Buy a s60 with timing belt broken, i change the valves for new, and never make the adjust, and won't start, late i Buy a special tool for lock cams and for pressing the camshaft and make adjust, the problems is that all valves are too long and the solid lifters don't have clerance.i wanna know ir the valves is correct, because the seller told me that engine is a 2.4 but i put the vin code and says that is 2.3 t5.I wanna know what is the engine model.

Sorry, I thought we discussed this a couple of months ago when you started this project. The valves are adjusted by grinding the tops of the stems down (if there is enough room, and you have a valve stem grinding machine) or by replacing the tappets with thinner tappets. The head has to be off the engine to be able to do this. Springs off, hold the cam in place with a special tool, measure clearance (if any), grind valve stem, then repeat until correct for each valve. Reassemble and you have compression and the engine runs!
