S60 Engine Light
I have a 2006 Volvo s60. The engine light keeps coming on when the temp. changes. A garage had talked me into a new fuel filter, timing belt (due to 140K miles) and fuel pump. When the temp. changes outside, the engine light comes on. Any ideas or fixes would be greatly appreciated at this time.
Thanks.
Thanks.
When you say "the engine light", do you mean the "check engine light" or is it the service indicator (suggesting its time for "scheduled maintenance"). As a side note, your car's timing belt is due at 120K or ten years (for most models) so it was due (if the timing belt breaks, you are looking at a $2000-3000 engine job). So if you get a check engine light, that means the diagnostics have captured a fault code. You need to have the codes read to determine what is setting the fault. It may or may not be related to the outside temperature but step 1 is getting the codes read. You may even get a big box auto parts store to pull them for you. Once you get them you can post them and people will be able to offer suggestions.
