Default S60 has SCARY high speed steering characteristics!

Just did an alignment and replaced 2 rear tires yesterday on a customer's S60, (looked like it had been wrecked previously and repaired judging my the quality of paint on various panels) and the specs were dead on, i didnt find any loose parts on the car, and the bushings LOOKED to be in good shape, car has 130K on the clock. Auto trans, normally aspirated.

Well at low speed, under 50mph, steering feels normal, car drives/tracks normally, no discernable "pull" left or right, other than road crown.

At speeds above 55-60 if you quickly turn the steering wheel left or right, it will act normally for the first split second, then its as if the driver yanked the wheel even MORE and the car shoots off in the direction that it is steered.

Never encountered this problem. Any ideas? Is this a common problem with S60s? We dont work on TOO many volvos at our shop (much less the newer S60s) and we havent ever had a "comeback" on an alignment (at least not when i do them) so im kinda flustered here, i'd like to solve the guy's problem.

Im positive the tires and alignment have NOTHING to do with this, we have a very good laser alignment machine and its less than a year old. Its gotta be a bushing somewhere but they all look good to me, there is some torque steer but i am assuming this is normal.

Could it be worn out cradle bushings? Control arm bushings?
