Default S60 Sunroof Problem

Hi-

I have a 2003 S60 - recently I've discovered a problem with the sunroof - it will slide back to close and then move up, but the problem is it doesn't move up into the closed position quite enough, so there is sort of a small uneven gap between the glass and the body of the car. Does that make sense?

Can this be fixed and can I fix it myself or do I need to bring it in?

Thanks-

my sunroof closes when you push the button forward to close.....you don't have to hold button cause when you do, it go into the upward position so try and just pushing the button forward and letting go so it closes by itself......post your results please!!!!

Thanks - I know this though unfortunately - doesn't seem to make a difference how I push the button. If I hold it or don't, it still closes slightly off...

Any other thoughts anyone?

Thanks

Mine does the same thing, no matter how you push the button, it always overshoots the closed position and ends up open a crack, then you have to hit the button back and forth until it's closed.

I've heard that there is a calibration procedure for the sun roof, but I couldn't tell you what it is. I remember I tried it once on my '02 S60 (for no reason) and it didn't do anything, so who knows. I can tell you though, that when the sun roof is closed, the front should be slightly lower than the roof metal, and the rear should be slightly higher than the roof metal. This is by design, and is to help avoid water leaks.

Good Luck!

PS. You might want to try a search for "sunroof calibration"
