S60R turbo maintenance
Hey everyone, I just purchased a 2006 S60R. Since this is my first turbocar I was just wondering if there is any special service, maintenance or driving habits that i should be following in order to promote turbo life and prevent issues? Your help is definately appreciated. Many thanks.

RE: S60R turbo maintenance
Regular oil changes and maintenance/tune ups and usesynthetic oil.
Use premium fuel grades of 91 octaneor higher
Let the car warm up for a minute or two before driving it
Let the car idle for a minute or twoafter you drive it
Just be good to her and she will be good to you
Nice buy and Good luck

I had done a couple oil changes already and the dealer didn't say anything about using synthetic oil. Should i request that next time? Will it promote the life of the turbo? Thanks for your help.

Synthetic is a little more then other oils, but it is better for turbos, and you can change oil every 5000-7000 miles instead of every 3000.

Volvo recommends Castrol 5w-30 full synthetic, so I would assume that is what the dealers use.

Not true. Read this from your owners manual....
