Thank you so muxh for posting the detailed answer to "hansolo's" transmission problem (car lags, engines revs hard)....I have the same problem with my 2001 Volvo S60, and now I finally have hope! Thanks so much! The volvo dealer/repair shop tried to fix the problem twice by installing a software upgrade (I had to pay for it) but it didn't resolve the problem. Now they want to try to fix it by installing a new PC board, but they said that they are not sure that will fix the problem, and I would have to pay for it even if it didn't fix it! Now I will go to some other repair shop and tell them that it is probably the valve body! Thank you, thank you. I wish you were my auto repair man. How could a Vovlo dealer repair shop not know how to fix a transmission problem!? Yikes.
