2001 s60

whenever you park the car . if you get out you can smell a hint of gas.
looked under the hood and seen nothing....

the only thing i can imagine i changed the coil pack in 2nd cylinder and all the spark plugs

but couldn't find any problem.....

can someone point me in the right direction

 

I would first check with Volvo and see if there is any open recalls on your car. There is i know a few Open S60 fuel systems recalls out there.Worth the google search and phone call to Volvo. GL

 

I can smell fuel a little after a cold start --- when on temperature - after driving its odorless - is it ok?

other than that the cars runs fine

btw new spark plugs and oil change + air filter are on their way

 

Had the same problem soon after I purchased my 2001 S60 a few years ago. Turns out it was a faulty fuel pump. Luckily, there was an open recall that covered the entire cost of replacing the fuel pump. Unluckily, I spent two months fighting with my local "authorized Volvo dealership" to get them to honor the warranty.

 

how may years is the warranty in place?

I smell gas every now and then but I thought it was just in my head. The smell would how come and go. I always thought it was something from the outside that was creeping in through the vents because when I would pull off, the smell would completely disappear.
