Something went wrong
Picked up my 2024 S60 T8 yesterday...when setting up the Infotainment system I received the "Something went wrong. Please try again later" when attempting to add accounts (Volvo ID and Password). Had success in setting up the Volvo App, but received this error when setting up an account for either myself or my wife's. It appears to not even send the login request, I get this error immediately when providing correct credentials and when providing bad credentials. The dealer suggested waiting until the next OTA update. However, I see this issue does not appear to be new. On the Polestar forum people hit this issue and some resolved by reseting the HIU. Anyone run into this and find a fix?
Oh man, I’m dealing with the exact same issue! Just picked up my S60 yesterday and have tried everything to get it to log me into my Volvo account. Dealer tells me to wait for a software update and Volvo’s support says it’s the first they’ve heard of it. I’ll reply if I learn anything new.
ok... I believe something is wrong in the Settings --> Privacy --> Volvo Privacy Setting. I receive the same message "Something Went wrong. Please try again later." Could this be at root of the problem... the Credential/Data for the Volvo Account login is not able to be shared outside of the car? Sgiles1, do you get the same error when you attempt to allow sharing under Settings --> Privacy> Volvo Privacy Setting?

I found something else strange. My cars Market Code ( found on the plate on the drivers door) is 31. According to the attached market codes, that’s California and I’m in Minnesota. Could the wrong software be installed?

So, I realize this thread is rather old now. However, I just picked up a new XC90 and am having very similar issues with the software
1. Connecting to my Volvo account fails with 'Something went wrong. Please try again later message'. It fails quickly and if I enter wrong user id or password it does not change error, so probably not even connecting to the backend.
2. The Volvo Privacy Settings gives the same error
3. In my case, pairing the app doesn't work either. I get a 'Pairing cancelled on device', right after I hit 'pair'. Again failing fast and very early because it doesn't change if I remove the keys (which should fail with a different error).
4. Also seem to be stuck on software version 2.12, no OTA reported available although it's my understanding should be at 2.14 now (since 3 rolled back?)
So, any pointers on how your issues were sorted (if they ever were) would be helpful and much appreciated.
I should mention, internet seems fine, Spotify works, my Google account works, maps fine, etc... anything related to Volvo services seems broken.
