Seeing my sister is too lazy to ask experts or make an account here, I guess I'll just have to do this.
My sister has a 2002 Volvo S60 and it makes a very strange noise from the engine compartment at least once a week. It sounds similar to the noise the parking radar makes in the newer model cars, but is more of a screeching noise than anything else. I don't know if it may involve the engine wearing out after about 163k miles or not. Any ideas?

 

If it does it first thing in the morning it is likely one of the rollers in the timing belt path. A video would help. Can she talk herself into that before she looses her motor?
