The other day, I changed the batteries in my remote. The same day, my wife accidentally triggered the car alarm. The next day, a message kept coming up that the alarm had been triggered but even when I pressed the reset button, it would reappear the next time the car was started but the remote also stopped working. I had to figure out how to use the emergency key in order to lock the car. BTW, there's nothing that I could find in the manual about the alarm. Maybe the Swedes call it something different.
The next day, everything worked just as it should, no message and the remote worked. Bizarre coincidence?

Remove battery.
Replace or reinsert battery.


All systems go!
