1st post on the forums.
My friend has purchased a 2001 S60 2.4T, 180km, service history. Has CEL on so to get the codes I used:
Jaycar OBD2 Scanner PP2145. $A69.95
Android App "Car Scanner" Free Version, its the app logo with blue engine inside white circle.

Results:
Showed us Volvo specific error codes we needed. Not just generic ones. Let us clear them too 👍
Connected to my Ford Kuga TF 2.0TD and my Ford Territory SZ2 4L. Ive tried unsuccessfully with $300 scan tools to connect to my Kuga when it was having battery issues. Non would talk to it. This reader and Car Scanner App identified the car and suggested a Ford Kuga specific set of diagnostic information! Free App ftw!

More Details:
Its a bluetooth scanner. Not iOS compatible as of recent releases. Worked on our Androids.
The scanner has no App with it but recommends a particular App that appears to be no longer supported. Others having iasues with that App were having success with "Car Scanner" in the Google Play/App Store.

Dont try and connect to the scan tool via the phones BT settings. Instead you simply enable BT, then enter the Car Scanner App and connect in-App.
