suggestion on best obd2 scanner for volvo
really depends on what you want your scanner to do.
Simply read power train fault codes? Read P codes plus ABS and SRS codes? Interpret proprietary codes? Also some of the models have an electronic brake tool as well.
BTW, icarsoft is a good model - but the trend now is bluetooth adaptors going to an app on a PC or phone.

When choosing an OBD2 scanner, it's important to pick one that is both reliable and easy to use. For Volvo owners, having a tool that specifically caters to the brand’s unique features can make a big difference. Similarly, apps like https://wellness-app.com/ fasting tracker online focus on the importance of easy-to-use tools that help you track and manage your health. Whether it's for your car or personal well-being, the right tool can simplify your life and help you stay on top of what matters most!

BTW, icarsoft is a good model - but the trend now is bluetooth adaptors going to an app on a PC or phone I’ve been following this best OBD2 scanner for Volvo XC60 thread because I recently picked up a 2016 XC60 and want a reliable scan tool that actually reads all Volvo-specific codes, not just generic CEL stuff. From the suggestions so far, Bluetooth adapters like the ELM327 clones paired with apps like Torque Pro or Car Scanner ELM OBD2 seem to be solid budget picks for basic diagnostics. If you want deeper Volvo-specific P-codes, some people recommend higher-end units that support enhanced protocols, but it really depends on whether you plan to do advanced troubleshooting or just keep an eye on check engine lights and emissions readiness. Also, when dealing with warranty paperwork or sending diagnostic reports to a mechanic who’s remote, using a free Android fax app can be super handy. For example, this one works well on the go: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=biz.faxapp.app&hl=en_US. Anyone tried that workflow with their independent shop?

Has anyone got any experience of using an KINGBOLEN EDIAG Elite OBD2 Scanner https://www.kingbolen.com/products/k...t-obd2-scanner on a Volvo XC60 and if so, how does it work. In particular, can it be used to reset the electric parking brake?
Thanks
