Default SWITCHING STOCK PROFILE OF 17" TIRES???

I am just as annoyed as everyone else about the tires rubbing when you even think about a sharp turn! Has anyone tried changing from the stock (for my '01 S60 T5) 235/45/17 to 235/40/17? I know the ride will perhaps be a bit more harsh and the speedo + odo may be slightly off, but might it stop the tires from rubbing? I don't want to make the change unless I know it will cure or lessen the problem. One more quick question: is there a good source of used OEM parts that are affordable from a reputable company? A few parts in my interior are starting to go and I wanted to replace them myself (and ebay is too hit-or-miss and I can't afford the Volvo dealer.) Thanks

A good source of OEM parts I have found is

www.thepartsbin.com

They have good prices and free ground shipping after you spend 50$!

As for rims sorry can`t help you there.

I have the 16 stock wheels on there now and they rub as well. I do not know if dropping down the tire size by that amount will help all that much.
