Terrbile Cold start problems - VOLVO V60 T4F
Hi all and best Regards from Luxembourg
let me describe my problem with my V60
Currently I've a VOLVO V60 T4F (Flexifuel ) 132 kw. 1600ccm
The Car dealer nearly get mad, they don't find the error.
what happens.
When the car is off over night of switched of for a longer time with a cold engine, the engine start makes problems.
Means the engine starts immediately but then I get random misfires (Error P300) the MIL is flashing but it's not on steadily.
after 20seconds the error is gone and the engine runs fine.
But when I start and push the throttle a bit more than 2000rpm the error doesn't sometimes even come up.
IMPORTANT: The error doesn't come on LPG only on regular fuel, but in the cold start phase you must drive on regular Fuel.
The following works have been done.
- 2 coils replaced
- fuel injectors checked and cleaned with ultrasound
- spark plugs all ok
- compression excellent
- MAF replaced (problem still persists)
- Checked for Air Leaks (all ok)
the Long term Fuel Trims where at +19%
they are now back to normal means -1% After a 300km Highway drive.
Has somebody had already such an issue?
the mechanic told me the it could be probably somewhere in the Fuel Supply circuit.
means Fuel Pump - High pressure pump
Rail Pressure valve or Rail pressure sensor.
somebody can help?
Best Regards
Frederic

Coolant level was dropping 7000km ago. VOLVO Check and made a pressure test . but there was all ok. The Injectors had been removed and physically checked as part of the fault search. Also all working fine.
ECU ?? Probably
Temperature sensor?
