Lightbulb Time for a new battery

2003 s60 2.4 original battery is time to get replaced. It still cranks. Which battery should I get installed? Does it really matter?

Lead-acid batteries are not high tech so I've tended to go with a major brand that happens to be on sale. IMHO, the most important thing is to get the correct size (ie the BCI size, not so much the CCAs to make sure the footprint and terminal locations are correct). Then make sure you inspect the terminals/cables, clean with a wire brush tool, tighten and seal to avoid corrosion. I've had good luck using Napa Online to select, check stock and get a discount or rebate. I'd also look at your current battery to see if there's a BCI number (ie a size 48 or similar) on it as the battery size may vary by engine and trim.
