Default battery size

I need top replace a dead battery and want to know how to determine what size, both physical and electrical should be installed in my 91 240.

What are the ramifications of putting in a battery that doesn't necessarily have the correct CCA as specified for my car but is physically the right size?

A bigger battery will simply last longer, but it might be too big to use the hold down. My battery is held in by a bungee cord, but it's 10 years old and still going strong.

You need size 47 or 48. Any other won't fit the hold down. 48 is bigger.
