tire hubs getting rusty
I recently sent my 2001 S60 to Midas to have brake pads and brake rotors completely replaced with brand new ones which may cause me to pay more attention to the brakes areas.
However I do notice that after 2 months, the 2 hubs on the rear wheels (the center round things that are connected with the brake rotors, I can see through the alloy wheels) are completely covered with rust.
I don't know if the rust has always been there (for a 10 yr old car) or if Midas did something to it (such as give me used ones).
Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!

The rotors are made of steel which will naturally rust in no time at all. Unless that portion is painted or plated then all rotors rust in the same way. It's nothing to worry about. I have Brembo rotors and I thought about painting them before I put them on and wish I would have now.
