So this is probably not S60-specific, but figured would post in case anyone else has experienced same before I call the dealer. 2017 S60 has been to dealer for service, tire rotation, etc, per specs since new. Just turned 40K mi with min 3mm tread remaining on all tires, and a front tire is flat. Go to look for the nail, and find the inside edge where the wall meets the bottom has several spots of belt exposed! WTF?! No other tire has any sign of low wear on the inside, and no belt exposed. When the rain subsides I'll try to get a photo to post.
Tires were rotated within the last 6mos so this should've been caught at that time. What the hell could be going on to result in that kind of precipitous wear? Seems like a defect.
BTW, at no time leading up to this flat no even now has the TPMS illuminated, so that system isn't working properly. And per Volvo there's supposed to be a TPMS malfunction light to alert if that system is malfunctioning. Nothing on either.
On the flat tire is the tread wear on the inside even all the way around or just concentrated in the one area that is now holed?
Any damage to the rim in the area? Drive on an area with a lot of pot holes?

Spread over at least 12". Was raining when I was looking and I bailed as it picked up so didn't look at the rim; had the same thought about pot hole, but it's been pouring for hours - I'll look in the morning and report back. I'm in SC (despite profile) so no, very few pot holes here.
OK, holy crap check this out! Happening on both front tires. Clearly a defect with the setup/suspension or something. You can see where the tire has been machining against the lower spring plate.
Thoughts? Will flat bed it to the dealer in the morning. Will be interesting to see what kind of crap they come back with to try denying any responsibility; they've done ALL the service, rotations, etc.
