Default Tires for 2012 s60 18"

Just bought a 2012 S60 with 45k miles, and the tires probably only have another 10k miles tops on them. Just looking for suggestions. Looking for a pure summer/highway tire. Priorities are smooth ride, quietness and long lasting in that order. Do a ton of highway miles, and am willing to sacrifice long lasting for quiet, but only to an extent. Will have winter tires for below 10C/50F.

Would be open to getting another set of the stock continentals depending on price. Am definitely open to other suggestions though.

FF, I have relied on TireRack.com for tires for many years. My 2013 S60 T6 AWD came with 17" wheels and Conti Contact tires. I had a set of winter Michelin tires left over from my '08 S80 T6 AWD. I bought a set of 18" rims from TireRack and mounted the Michelins for the winter. They are the HiPo winter tires. I'm in the market for some summer tires as well. Cooper Tires makes an 18" tire in the right size. I believe it will fit the driving pattern you describe. Sadly, TR doesn't sell Coopers; you'll have to find a local seller. If you live near a SamsClub or BJs or CostCo, check with them to see if they will order the tire you decide to get.

Best wishes, stay safe.

JR

I'll be buying from a local vendor, tirerack is just an example. My local shop tried to sell me on a set of Nitto Motivo tires, which i was a bit hesitant on, as i felt like it was just what was easiest and would make the most money for them.

After researching options from Bstone, Michelin, Continental and others, i think i'm going to settle on the Nittos. I love the tread pattern on the Continental Extreme Contact DW but it's just too soft. I'd like to get around 50k miles (80k kms) out of the set.

The Nittos seem to be one of the few tires that meets all of my requirements.
