I'm putting on some winter wheels and tires but don't feel like paying for tpms. If you can't check your own tire pressure get out of the car.

Anyways I know the light will come but will it deactivate the traction controll or abs brakes also?

no, you could pop out the fuse and not deal with the light or depending on where you live and how long your winters last just take out the sensors from the other rims and put them in you replacement set.
