tranny valve body seal ring dropped into bottom of case
Hi everyone,
When I install two new seal rings on the inner wall of the transmission body (behind the valve body) before assembling the valve body, the lower ring dropped into the deep pocket of the transmission case. I tried a steel wire to dig it out without success. It seems the ring has been pushed into the bottom of the big black (pump?) block. I poured fluid into the pocket, the ring would not float out.
I like to try:
1. Turn on engine and hopefully the pump ush it out?
2. Blow air into transmission-fluid-check-stick tube to blow the ring out?
Any idea how to get the ring out? If leave it there, how that will affect the operation of the transmission?
Thanks for any idea!
