Default Trip Computer

Another subject on my 2001 S-60. It did not come with a trip computer. I have noticed that there are used signal arms that you can purchase that have the trip computer buttons on them. If you buy one of those signal arms and install it, would that activiate the trip computer or, is there further steps that would need to be taken? Thanks!!!

Hi, Coloradohusker - To activate the trip computer, you would have to install the different turn signal stalk as you indicated and take it to the dealer to have them install the software for it. I think the software is about $25.00, but you might talk to your dealer's service writer about it.

Thanks, Lynn

You were right about the software costing more than I said, but at most it should be $220.00US - it is part# 8637140, from what I've been able to tell..
