Trying to fix a centre console A/C flap that poped off on one side.
So as soon as i drove the car off the lot after i had a mechanic service it i tried to pop on one of those plastic dollarstore phone holders (To test out a NAV app i had installed on my phone since i was gonna take a day long trip very soon after) onto the A/C flap as instructed and i barely pushed it on when the adjustable flap (2nd one from the bottom) snapped out of place at the right side. (Pic included)
As you can see from the pic there is a little flexable pin like piece that slides into the hole on the side of the flap but the problem is there is not enough space to force it in cause the flap is too tight in that area when you try to level it.. I'm afraid if i bend that pin too much to get it in it will snap and then I'm screwed, and I also don't want to replace the whole middle piece just over that so what can i do? Maybe cut that pin sticking out on the right side a bit to give me more space?
I've been ignoring it so far but it pisses me off when i look at it. Help!
