Default Turbo Issue?

Ok, I have a 2005 s60. Noticed a HUGE lack of power when trying to accelerate. Popped the hood and sure enough, the hose after the hard pipe coming over the top of the motor is collapsing when throttle is applied. My first thoughts were that something has clogged up the IC. But I highly doubt that's the case. Is my turbo done for? Should be pressure in that hose/pipe, not vacuum...

It's collapsing?? Yes it should be expanding very noticeably from the Pressure that runs through it. I can't think of any reason as to why you're getting vacuum in that pipe.

Neither can I right now. And it's not just vacuum, it's a boat load of vacuum! The whole rubber hose after the hard pipe and to the IC collapses.

Pulled it out and fins weren't spinning, lol. Was repairable though...Here's a pic of the oil coke that I got out of the turbo itself...Turbo back on the car, took it for a spin, spooled up nicely and had the power back. Half a block back to my house, grayish smoke POURING out of my exhaust. Out of the dipstick tube and oil filler cap. Doesn't overheat, car idles great, no CEL's, no leaks (fluid or boost). Thinking since there wasn't any oil flowing through the turbo for a few weeks that now that it is flowing it has gunked something up? Oh, and smoke coming from the PCV valve tube as well. Oh...and there's fresh oil leaking out of the tailpipe. Any ides?

Did you replace all the seals at the oil and coolant lines when you removed/replaced the turbo? The PCV could be clogged and this is a issue. put a rubber glove over the oil fill with the cap off. Start the car .The glove should Not blow up.It should have Vacume pressure. If it does blow up then you have a clog and need to replace/clean PCV system... If this is the case dnot let it go. The pressure has t go some where and it could blow Cam seals or worse.. Lots f company that sell kit to replace all the parts $300 and a few hours of time.. Here is a Link to some help Cleaning PCV GL
