I'm thinking of getting a used XC90 and did a little research on Consumer Reports.
It turns out the brakes/stop system older than the 2008 model have a pretty bad liability rating...It is explained that they squeak a lot and even dealers can't seem to figure out why.

I know most of you guys here are die-hard fans of Volvo and I'm on the process of becoming one too. But the least I would want to happen is having to get rid of the car after using it for a very little period of time.

Any help/advice is much appreciated!!!

 

I have not seen alot of brake squeel on the XC90's.
