Default Very sensative inertia reel

My '06 S60 T5 has a very, very sensative inertia reel on the front passager seat belt. My wife has a hard time leaning forward in all phases of driving with out the belt catching and stopping her [:@]. Slow, fast, braking, acceleration, cruise. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I wonder if the dealer can make an adjustment to this?

I don't think there is any adjustment but they might replace it if you complain alot.

I'll give them a call. As you can imagine it is very frustrating. Every movement forward gets impeded by the belt restricting the motion. Thanks Tech.

Hi..

I may be wrong on this one (please correct if you know for sure!)

It's my belief that any problems with seat belts are replaced free of charge, no matter the age of the car.
Something to do with safety and the manufacturer of the belts??

I'd ask the dealer to see what he says.

Andy

no the seat belts dont have a life time warrenty there is not adjustment either it works or it doesn't the seatbelts have pyrotechnic devices to tighten the seatbelt in a crash. the inertia real is designed that way and a new one will be t he same way.
