Vibration in 2004 S60 Front Passenger Wheel
I have a vibration that appears to be coming from the front right wheel on my 2004 S60. It is almost imperceptible when I'm in the car by myself and gets considerably worse with each additional person in the car (especially if they sit on the passenger side). It also is worse when I'm going uphil. I have had the tires balanced and the front end alignment checked.
Is this the sign of a bad strut? Rotor issues?
I don't think it's the CV joint because it does not make the characteristic sound when I turn and the vibration is just as bad when I'm going straight as when I'm turning.

Try swapping the front right to the left and see if the problem has shifted. If it has, it is a bad tire. If the problem persists it's not the wheel/tire.
Next I would check the ball joints.
Also, I would not rule out the possibility of the CV being bad. True, clicking when turned is a sign of a bad outer joint, but vibration under load is a sign of the inner joint going out.
