Default Vibration.

Cars runs great until it hits 60-65 miles/h and even the slightest bit on acceleration will cause the car 2 vibrate, i have no clue what this is, does anybody have a true solution, i know most people have replaces engine mounts tie downs, could this be the CV boots?

had the same problem with my old BMW, it was RWD but that may not matter. Start with the obvious, how are the tires? When was the last time they where balanced? The fact that the car is smooth up to 65 (the exact speed mine started vibrating) makes it seem like a rubber part somewhere, because it absorbs the vibration until 65 when it hits the right harmonics and can't absorb any more thus you start to feel it. Does it vibrate when braking, coasting,or only when you accelerate?

I would have the front axle inner joints inspected.

The car is going in tommorow, i guess our mechanic says it can be anything from a bent rim to allignment, but would this vibration cause my check engine light to come on also? Because i was cruising up to 65 and i started feelings the vibration, pops on the check engine light for the first time. any ideas? also i can feel vibration VERY slighty, aside i still feel it, in normal driving also. But no i do not feel it when i brake or let go, only when my foot pushes the accelerator.

It could also be misfiring which would throw the check engine light on.

A friend of mine had a car where the cat converter was old enough that the innards "imploded" causing it to clog the exhaust.

Exhaust gasses were trapped, so to say, making the engine not run correctly.

Just a thought............

Possible but then you can usually hear a change in the exhaust noise.
