Volvo S60 2.0T P1 (2001) not starting
Hi there!
My first post to this forum and really hoping that anyone can help me.
Bought a used 2001 Volvo S60 2.0T few months ago and it was running beautifully despite the 250000+ miles on the clock.
But then.. On one unlucky (quite hot) day the alternator gave up. I tested it and it was the alternator at fault. So today I received the new alternator, swapped it out and the car does not turn on.
It turns over quite well but just does not start. Battery voltage is good, fuel pump seems to be good.
When I try to turn it on, the check engine light is on, but not sure if it's normal or not., but also the abs light flashes briefly while cranking the engine.
I followed this video:
with few alterations: did not take off the fan or the top boost hose and did not drain the coolant, but don't think that it would have affected anything.
The car has been standing in my front garden for a month or so not being moved, but before the alternator gave up the car would still start with a jump-start but would not last very long as the battery was not being charged, but now it's not starting. Spent last money on the alternator and tools needed to change it so can't afford to get it professionally checked out or replace any more parts for a month or two, but the car is desperately needed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Let me know if I've left out any important details.
P.s. I'm quite new to car repairs - this is actually the first car that I've properly worked on and as soon as I get it going I will start learning to drive. So far my partner was driving the car.

Thanks to very "swift" approval of the post, I've already sorted the issue. Just needed some fresh fuel in the tank to mix with the old and it started straight away. It had been standing for just over a month. Hopefully this helps someone.
