Volvo S60 T5 2002 Transmission issues HELP
I have a Volvo S60 T5 2002 with Transmission issues. I was experiencing that the car would intermittently "slam" into gear after accelerating, braking and re-accelerating. I and I brought it to the dealer’s attention when it was still under extended warranty (approx 90K miles) and was told that they could not re-create the issue and nothing was wrong. Now, after warranties have expired and I have 115K on the car, the problem is worse and I am being told I need a new transmission at a cost of $4-5000.
Will Volvo step up? The problem presented itself before I was out of warranty.
Does anyone have any advice or can share similar situations?
Thanks!

Yes - your transmission is toast.
IF you have a print out of the service record that described the problem you brought to the tech's attention before your warranty expired they will often cover it.
The trick is making sure you can prove that you first brought it to their attention while in warranty.
