Volvo V60 2015.5 doing a oil change
I have been searching for information on how to change the oil on a É-drive motor 2.0L on a V60. If anyone has any info on how to obtain a repair manual for this car, there's nothing on google about it.
I've been working on my own cars since the late 60's and always could rely on aftermarket and occasionally factory repair manuals. In the early "teens" the availability of paper manual started to dry up FAST on the current cars. The reason/excuse was usually cost of printing, rapid evolution of emissions technology that made it difficult to keep up to date and the keen interest in making sure we visited the dealerships as often as possible. Evidence: Try shopping for a rear wiper blade for a 2015 V60!
I need a manual too. I have many questions. I don't want to give the dealership $90-100/hr for something I can do myself.
Oil change is relatively simple. I recommend getting an oil filter housing "wrench" (large socket) w 3/8" drive to get the filter off. It's very difficult to get hold of it any other way if it's on there tight. You need to remove the fiberboard belly pan first (1/2 dozen torx screws) then undo 19mm drain plug and remove filter housing to dump oil. I ignore the screw in bottom of filter housing, though you could use it to pre-drain the filter housing prior to taking it off. That's basically it. There are several video's on the internet on this with more details.
