Hi!
I have '11 V60 D3 with D5204T2 diesel engine. I started working with the car by looking some videos on youtube and got pretty good idea how it should be done. I was wrong
1. Should you be able to change ERG-valve solely without taking the cooler off (in other similar models it seems possible, even easy), or should i take the hole system out of the car? The 6mm hex bolts connecting valve to cooler are pretty damn hard to open and i have managed to get 3/4 off, but the last one under the EGR feels impossible. There seems to some kind of an angle, because i can't get normal hex key or hex socket even to fit in.
2. I changed strategy and tried to take the whole damn thing off but again, two 10mm bolts connecting cooler to exhaust are in very thight space and i'm clueless what to do and what kind of tools i need. Upper one feels doable but lower one is bad. I barely get my fingers there. And what about the coolant hoses? Other one is in front and you can see it, but other one is on the backside. Somebody said you can just pull them off and won't lose much liquid?
Please somebody help, i'm nervous wreck and no idea what to do. What i'm missing out? Is there some parts i should take off just in orded to have more space? But theres not much, couple coolant hoses and some connectors.
