I have a 2007 S60 Volvo and the Trip 1 reads 304.5 mil. Now the weird part is that the mileage that appears above this one in the information window, which is supposed to be the total amount of the car, reads 302 mil. I haven't reset anything yet since i bought it.

How the heck is that reading possible?
Any ideas?

 

This is an issue with a lot of Volvos, S60's in particular. The electronics on the car can be a bit fritzy at times, but it is nothing to get extremely worried about. If you are concerned, take it back to the dealership and tell them what is happeneing, and they will probably tell you that you need to have your computer replaced. My 2004 S60 2.5T has a similar issue where every few hundere miles, the two trip odometers reset themselves to zero. It happens....don't stress about it...

Your cars come in Transport mode, which the trip is how many mile your car has accumlated siince birth, At the port the mileage is reset to 0 on ALL cars, the trip still reads the original miles, so after the new car prep and the dealer drives the car, it'll has say 3 miles, but the trip will read 8, the dealer is suppose to reset the trip. obviously your dealers arent.

Notthing wrong with the computers, and its no a s60 problem.
