I've been trying to find the name of this part to no avail.
The pipe is from an s60 2002.
Among the different names they gave it, the shop said it was the oil coolant pipe, coolant tube. And they may have called it by another name that I just can't recall now.
When I googled it using those different terms (coolant tube, coolant pipe, etc) I can't match from the diagrams the dealers show to the picture I took of the leak.
Only after I removed the cap of the reservoir, was the leak visible enough to see. It actually started only after that. I have no idea why it'd do this, but as soon as I would screw the cap back on the reservoir tank, the leak would stop. Was this because of the air flow?
The car can be driven for a short distance, but anything longer than that, it would run out of fluid.
The shop had ordered the part that supposedly matched that one (as seen on the picture), and today they said that they had received the wrong part.
If anyone can tell me what the name of this part is, I'll appreciate it.
I have to admit I don't know much, but when I had to look up a part for the s60 I usually, usually, find it either brand new or used.
Thank you. But is there a diagram image that would resemble this pipe? The drawing doesn't have to be identical, but I'd expect some similarity. Let me just post another picture.
I've looked at a few of these, and nothing seemed to look even remotely like it.

I noticed by looking at the diagram you linked to, it goes by 'inlet
pipe', and some places named it: cooling pipe. Good to know either
way. I have more info now than before. I'll see what my options are and go from there. Thanks again!
At some point they integrated that drain nipple into the water pipe, which is why I thought it was the water like from your first photo. The second one showed it was the older, separate one which helped clarify.

What I'm wondering now @ES6T and if you were to look at the puncture where the water is coming from… is the following: for how long would an epoxy weld solution work in this case, and if so, would it be able seal off this leak.
A guy at the shop was not very optimistic about it. Whereas another guy said this temporary solution might be able to hold it off.
Or is it inevitable that this inlet/cooling pipe would eventually need to be replaced?

You suggested to change the part, since it wasn't expensive. And I agree.
But the problem is that no one I've spoken to, including the folks at the shop, are smart enough 😁to figure out what the part is? I can't even tell what the part is by looking at the diagram.

Did the shop use only an epoxy plug or was it used with a fabric (glass fiber, kevlar or carbon fiber wrap?) I have used epoxy + glass cloth on household plumbing successfully but that is typically about 20 psi - don't know what this application might be.

I'm not sure but I'll ask them. I do recall he said something that it'd withstand it. He was very optimistic with it, and so was I. And the first couple of days held it alright, but then gradually it started wearing off?
I tried getting a close up picture as before but I couldn't see any leak. I'd drive for say — give or take 40 miles — and needed only a cup 8oz - to 12oz roughly. Then it was say 20 miles and needed the same cup. I knew something wasn't right 😁
But I'll ask them if they used only the epoxy by itself or with a glass fiber wrap around it
