Default Wiper Aligning issues

Hi, I've been trying to adjust my drivers side windshield wiper on my 2003 s60 and am having some trouble. It is wiping over the side rim of my windshield. (probably a side effect of me grabbing it while driving during winter storms to remove ice) The Passenger side is fine. I've loosened the nut under the arm cover and tried to push it down, but even though the nut is loosened, the driver side wiper seems to be stuck and also still "connected" to the passenger wiper because when putting pressure trying to adjust it, I see the passengers side moving slightly as well. Am I missing something or do independent adjustments for wiper alignment happen somewhere else?

Thanks,
RB

Loosen the nut almost all the way. Then press it towards the windshield to pop it loose off the cone shape from the wiper shaft then you can adjust it from there.
