Yaw Sensor Signal Missing - 2007 S60 2.5t
Hey all
Have had this anti skid warning for the longest time and have searched all over for a fix on various forums. Currently receive codes BCM-0114 (Communication with AYC-sensor signal missing) and BCM-0138 (Voltage supply, AYC sensor faulty voltage). I've cleaned the connectors on the sensor and BCM even though their were no signs of corrosion or water intrusion in the passenger foot well. I've probed the CAN lines and get about 1.8V on the CAN low side, and 3.3V on the high side. The problem may be voltage delivery to the sensor itself i'm guessing? If so, where should I start?
Thanks

With a scan using a compatible scanner that can give you places to look and possible solutions. If you were using VIDA - each code would have a list of possible problem areas and a list of things to check to hopefully isolate the problem. A common problem with codes similar to yours - is bad connections INSIDE the abs module. Solved with a replacement module from a vendor such as xemodex or many DIYers have done full to half *** self repairs.
Thanks for the reply!
Yes I have been using VIDA to scan my codes. The conflicting thing though, is that inside the information portion of the error code BCM-0114, it specifically states that this code doesn't have to do with an internal fault in the bcm and shouldn't be remedied by replacing the module. Possible sources are contact resistance in terminals, which I cleaned and didn't do anything. Open circuit in the wiring between the bcm and sensor. Yaw sensor not connected, or an internal fault in the yaw sensor. The sensor is definitely connected but not getting voltage, so Id like to ideally trace the wiring and rule that out next. I was just curious to see if anyone had experience with these two specific codes appearing at once and how they remedied it. Another possible concern may be my battery as its 8 years old atm and puts out 11.8V in position 2. Id assume that should be between 12.2-12.4V.
