Default 1998 S70 Accident - My own repairs - Photo

I have 1998 S70, which I just had accident with last week. My post accident assessment indicates I will need the following: Hood, Radiator Support panel, and Front Lamps. Radiator is leaking on the lower left and can't tell if it's repairable yet. Also, the radiator shroud?? was all busted up and the fan relay switch is exposed. Not sure if that needs to be replaced as well. The car never stalled on impact and no airbag deployment either. The radiator was pushed back a little, but it looks like the core support is fine. The plastic support around it was all busted up. This has been a great commuter car and it only has 107K.

How difficult is it to remove the front bumper on this car?

Thanks

The bumper and the fenders are very easy to remove. If you do a search, you can find step by step instruction.

Wow, I hate it when the bumper slides under the car in front of it. I would cut bait and run. Hopefully you had full coverage and can get a check, then have a less expensive shop take care of it.

The bumper is very easy to come off. It has 8 bolts and a couple of side guides to come off. There are also a few rivets in the finder well. I wouldn't try to fix a leaking radiator, just replace it. Also, most cars are damaged on the front end so I maybe hard finding a car with no front damage.

I think your best bet would be to find a car with a bad motor and take the good body and take the motor from your car, along with other good parts from your car.

Default I'm stuck with it

I only had liability Insurance on it, so all repairs are out of my pocket.

I have found a donor car with what appears to be some good prices, and its only about 20 miles away. a 2000 s70

Hood - $100
Radiator - $60
Headlights - $60 each
Radiator support panel - $45
Grill $25
