Maybesomeone who works at a Volvo dealership on this forum can look up your VIN to provide you with your radio code. The radio code is specific to your VIN. Otherwise, the general public will not be able to provide you with the code unless someone is incredibly gifted in their sixth sense.

Call your local Volvo dealership. Tell them who you are and what your VIN # is. They will (or should) give the code to you over the phone.

Thanks!!!! That's what I had read a couple places just double checking. Now I also read the car needs to be on for 2 hours - is this 2 hours non stop or just 2 hours in total. Since I entered in 3 codes that were all wrong and now it says OFF.

Yes you have to wait with the ignition on for two hours since you entered three wrong codes. If it's not the original head unit, the code tied to the VIN will not be correct. You may need the serial number from the head unit to get the radio code. The dealer should be able to go by that number as well as theVIN.

I had to actually go to the dealership and show them my registration info with my name on it and my license proving that I was the car's owner. Now the code is just written down in the manual... and the radio is in my closet hahaha

Yes they will. I did it a couple months ago. Just call up Herzog-Meier (in Beaverton) and ask for volvo service then tell the guy you need the radio code for your car. He'll ask for your year and model, and vin and punch it into the computer and give you the code.

The best method is to give them the SN off of the radio. A lot of these cars have had the radio's swapped/changed.
