Default 1998 T5 - Loosing Power

Up until now my car was like charm, but suddenly (yesterday) its behaviou changed. Acceleration takes longer than it used to be. Also, in very low speed and low RPM, it feels like something is choking engine if I press accelerator vigorously. This behaviour reminds me when I drove a car with carburator. It used to act this way when gasoline content in air/gasoline mixture was too low.
This is 1998 stick shift T5, 120K miles on it. There are no leaks that I can detect and the engine does not burn oil (at least between 3000 mile oil change inetrvals. I am going to take it to a local Volvo shop and I wondering what exactly I need to ask them to look at. Do I need to have compression checked? First thing that comes in my mind is clogged injectors and/or fuel filter. Thank you for advise

When was the Last tune up with Wires and Cap and rotor?
Does the check engine light come on or flash?
