1998 Volvo S70 GLT Transmission Gear Buttons Lights Blinking (Econ,Sport,Winter)
Hey Guys,
Past couple days I have had an issue with my car. It is a 1998 Volvo S70 GLT Turbo 2.4L . The buttons that are used to switch transmission modes (Economy,Sport, and Winter Modes) are blinking green and orange. It kind of comes and goes away. There are no indicator lights on my dash of something wrong. Its just the blinking buttons mainly Econ and Winter Mode, switching from green to orange. While the buttons blink, the car kind of runs as if it is in winter mode, or low gear. It accelerates slow and has more resistance on the pedal, basically low gear. This never happened before getting my car serviced a couple days ago, so wondering what It could be. Thanks !

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Old car, things break all the time. Monthly on these things. It would do you good to learn how to do some minor things yourself or the cost will eat you up.
Your issue is with the PNP switch. When it acts up it will force the car into WINTER MODE and start in 3rd gear, no torque. I would select S mode and see if it stays good in that selection.

I can't find of any tutorials on how to change a PNP switch. Do you know of any? Thank you! (:
