Default 1999 S70 Gasket and Seal Replacement

Greetings and help if you can.

My volvo was going through a litre of oil every 500 miles. My mechanic realized that the oil was burning through a bad seal.
We replaced all seals and gaskets to the tune of a lot of money.

Four thousand kms later, when I go to work or return (100 miles each day in driving), I am smelling a burning rubber smell.
I can see smoke coming from under the hood. When I raise the hood, I can see that the smoke is coming from the back of the engine. This is not rubber at all. I am sure it must be oil. Should I be alarmed? or Would it be normal to experience a little oil buring off after such a procedure?

Most of the summer the car drove only about 20 minutes to half hour a day. Now after some more series driving (two hours a day), I am seeing smoke burn out from behind the engine.

I am guessing that I should be contacting the mechanic and having him inspect his work. They only work on Volvos at the shop I go to. Is there something he may have done wrong?

Thanks

JD

Sorry,

I meant to say we replaced all seals and rings on the engine.

I don't think turbo related but I will sure check.

I was thinking that since the rings and gaskets were just changed, that perhaps something went wrong with the procedure?

Any other thoughts?

Thanks

The o-ring on the turbo pipe where it enters the block might be bad. Thats what I was thinking.
