Default 1999 S70 hot start issues

This one is really getting to me. 1999 S70 GLT/Auto. 163k miles. Just picked it up 6 weeks ago. Changed plugs, coolant, thermostat, tranny fluid, oil, oil filter. Replaced the ABS module from Mid-West ABS (thanks, Matt). This car starts fine 1st thing in the morning. If I drive it for 30-45 minutes, run into the store or stop for fuel, she gives me a very hard time starting again. 10-30 turns of the key. The car turns over strong (new battery), just doesn't catch. I just have to sit and wait for it to cool off. To top things off, if I let the car sit in the summer Sun before I start it, it does the same thing just as if I drove the car, but the motor is completely cold. I am baffled. Thank to all in advance, Jason.

Leave it in the sun on a hot day and troubleshoot: fuel, spark/signal. Is it throwing any CEL codes?

My guess would be a MAF. Unplug it and see if it starts.

No CEL. I had fuel pressure tested cold and after she was warmed up, same results. If it starts with the MAF unplugged, then it's the MAF?

Just a guess. I don't think your car has an idle control valve since it has the electronic ignition.

Pulled the MAF and it didn't start. Pulled relay for fuel pump., going to remove it and see for damage. Any ideas for/against jumping the relay?

OK, for all those that have similar issues. I pulled the relay and tried jumping with a paper clip. Car started, so i decided to clean the contacts on the relay and where they go in on the fuse block. Car starts EVERY time. Looks like a cheap fix. Been good for 1 week now. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for all the responses.

Not to rain on your parade but I suspect you may have just disturbed the fuel pump relay causing it to now work more reliably, for a time..
