1999 S70 sun roof fails to operate, just clicks
That's right, there is just a clicking noise when I press the button, and of course in accordance with Murphy's LAw, it's stuck in the open position. I also notice that the positive battery cable is EXTRMELY HOT, such that you can only touch it for a few seconds.
Worst part is I can no longer access the web site that had the wiring diagrams for the car.
Any ideas appreciated.

Sounds like a couple of problems.
If it only clicks it might be jammed or something wrong with the motor.
If you can figure out how to drop the domelight assembly you can try closing it manually with a screw driver. The motor has a slot that you can use a screwdriver to close it.
But if you try that go very slowly and make sure nothing is jammed.
For the hot battery terminal you should replace the terminal. They get weak at the solder/crimp joint from the factory and get hot due to bad connection.
