Default 1999 Volvo S70 Problems

My car has been giving me problems as of late. Intermittantly when starting the car it will turn over and then sputter and die right away. I took it into the mechanic and had the immobilizer system replaced. My car was working fine for a about three days and then started acting up again. Also now when it is running when I slow down to a stop the rpms will drop to around 500 or so and then shoot back up to the normal idle. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Later today I am going to get a new key made, seafoam through the vacuum line, and clean the throttle body and maf and see if that cures any problems. I am still getting the p1081 code with my new immobilizer radio system so the key is the only culprit left in mind for that.

If he replaced the immobilizer system it would have come with new keys.
What exactly did he replace?

I wish I had the receipt so I knew exactly what was done, but from visually inspecting it looks like just the immobilizer antenna was replaced.

I had a similiar problem and it turned out the fuel pump was dead. I could drive for a little bit (maybe a mile) and then the RPMs would drop and the engine shut down. Then I would have to wait a few minues for get it to start again and go another mile, trying to start it quicker just killed the engine in the same way immediatly. It basically acted like it was out of gas. But I never had the issue of RMPs dropping and then climbing back up.
