Default 2000 S70 AC problem

AC blows cold for approx. 20 minutes than gets warm. I have read other post and possible reasons:compressor bad, temp. gauge sensor, pressure cycling switch, cut out switch. Is the temp. reading of the outside air connected to the temp. gauge sensor? The temp readings sometimes is 110-140 when the real outside temp is 90-95. So, if the reading is 120, can the sensor cut off compressor? Were are the pressure cycling switch and cut out switch?

Thanks

No the outside temp sensor is not connected.

Measure the Gap for the compressor clutch. If if is over .020 thousands then the clutch is bad due to wear.

Finally, I got under the car and both temperature sensors were lose, pointing towards the ground. I reattached the sensors. I had to buy new plastic grills, because both were broken (I hit a deer, no damage to deer only lights and grill busted on car).
The clutch was magnetic when I touched it with a screw driver after it was on for 20 minutes.
My pressure reading on the low side was 40 psi, but after the compressor stops working (20 minutes), the pressure is really high. Any ideas?
I have 132,000 miles, first problem with car.

Thanks

If the compressor was not on and the clutch was magnetic then the Clutch gap is to much and it is overheating and shutting off.

Best bet would be New compressor.

The clutch is almost the same price as the compressor.
