2000 Volvo s70 downshifting problem
Long time lurker first time poster,
I have a 2000 volvo s70 that seems to down shift rough. Not sure of what gear but it happens right around 40 mph. At first when the engine is still cold it feels like I just pushed a little harder on the brake but the down shifting gets worse as the engine heats up.
When I first got the car cheap three years ago at 140,000 the tranny fluid was blacker then the oil and all gears shifted rough. A flush fixed all the problems. I’ve since assumed that the previous owner was not a fan of maintenance.
2000 Volvo s70
179,000 miles
5 speed transmission
The mechanic says that no codes are stored, and that it seems to be ok. This just felt like a great time to finally register. no cel or any other lights are on. Any Ideas? Thanks for the help.
