2000 Volvo S70 SE
Hi Everybody, I would like to start off by saying that I am a newcomer to this foum and that i am extremeley glad, and excited to be here! My Uncle just gave me his 2000 Volvo S70 SE its front wheel drive, and it's an automatic, it has 191,000 KM. It's in good running condition, however, I was wondering if I can convert the automatic into a manual and secondly if i can drop in the s4o motor into the s70? Is there a Manual Transmission that volvo makes in which i can use for the replacement, and how much does it cost do do a swap of that sort?
Thanks,
Leo

You can swap a manual into that car. There is no specific kit. You will have to source the parts individually.
You could swap an s40 motor into it, but why? Why not get a s70T5 motor.

Wow!, LOL i didnt know that these manuals transmissions are hard to find. Can i get a little help in finding one i would greatly appreciate it, i dont know where to start. Or if the Volvo transmissions are hard to find can i go aftermarket?

Try a junk yard, if that doesn't work try http://www.fcpgroton.com if that doesn't work try the stealership (dealership).
