Default '98 S70 idles rough & stalls with code P0335

So I recently tuned up my '98 S70 (2.4L non-turbo) with new plugs, wires, cap & rotor, and changed out the two rear cam shaft seals as they were leaking. After I put everything back together and started the car it ran rough and stalled out and the check engine light came on.

I plugged my code reader in and it said P0335 - Crankshaft position sensor A circuit malfuntion. So I went online and ordered a new crankshaft sensor. When I installed the new one and plugged it in the car still idled rough.

Now the car ran fine until I tuned it up so I went back and checked everything over thinking I forgot to connect something but I can't find anything obvious.

Any thoughts?

You probably have 2 wires wrong on the distributor cap.

That was one of my first thoughts but I double checked the wires and even put the old ones back on with the cap and it still did the same thing.

Sorry, but I think you have one of them wrong.

The cam seals themselves will have nothing to do with any of those issues. Unless you broke or otherwise damaged hoses or wiring in the process.

The cap and rotor either work or don't work. I've seen broken rotors before. Try the old cap and rotor.

I think cylinder #1 is closest to the flywheel (right hand side), but not positive. Get the firing order. Line up the front pulley at TDC (roughly will be close enough). See if the rotor lines up with #1 or is 180 degrees out. If 180 out, give it another rotation. Compare the firing order to the cap.
