Default Coils what brand 2000 S70

Hi everyone i just got a check engine light P0301 cylinder 1 misfire removed coil to number 2 cylinder to see if misfire followed the coil it did. All coils are original 147000 miles.

I want to replace all of my coils what brand should i use?

Oriellys= import direct 52.00 life time warranty
IPD= bosch 67.00 plus shipping one year warranty
Volvo dealer= bosch oe 69.94 one year warranty
Auto zone= duralast 51.99 with 15% off life time warranty made in Germany

Im leaning toward auto zone with life time and made in germany.

Can anyone tell me if they had problems with anyone of the coils and what they used.

Thanks

i would personally get either ipd or factory coils. yeah autozone and oriellys offer lifetime warranty but you get what you par for. ipd had been a trusted aftermarket brand for a long time and you can never go wrong with factory parts. personally for my s70 i only use factory parts, primarily because i work at the dealer.

Man those coils are a lot cheaper than I expected. I like to use OEM parts and if Bosch is the supplier of the Volvo coils, I would likely get them from anywhere. I do like to purchase from companies that specialize in supporting us Volvo guys.

As for a lifetime warranty... They are banking on you not owning the car very long.

Ok Guys, had to go autozone route did some research and the sticker on the duralast coils says BERU made in Germany Beru is part of Borg warner and when i was installing the coils i took the boot off to make sure it was ok and saw BOSCH #13 that matched the original volvo bosch coil. Installed all 5 new coils 46.79 each runs great.

Most of the parts that i buy come from IPD, there great.

Some parts i have bought from oriellys and so far have been great. Life time warranty havn't had to use it yet only on my Ford windstar DPFE went bad a year and a half went they gave me a new no problems.

Thanks again for all replys

Thanks for posting. I was having the same problem. Took the car to the mechanic, told them the car is running rough. They told me they put in used part to save us money, but will not guarantee the work because they were used part and charge full labor fee. Now having the same problem. I think this time my husband is going to buy the coils and change them himself.
