Just bought the car, it seems when you first crank it, it won't start wait a second or 2 then it starts and runs fine... Non turbo, 2.4 motor, auto...

 

Hold the key longer. Volvo's manual say hold the key as long as 5 seconds to wait for a start. I have to wait about 3 seconds every time. People are so use to just poking the starter and getting the car to start, it's a shame. Hold the key for about 2 to 3 seconds.
